2020 Year In Review

Leading change in the community for a brighter future

Purpose
Founded in 1989, One Delta Plaza Educational Center, Inc. (ODPEC) serves the needs of the local community through targeted programming and community engagement. ODPEC is approved and classified as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization by the Internal Revenue Service. It is the owner and operator of the building at 3333 Old Spanish Trail, Houston, Texas 77021.
Mission
The central objective of ODPEC is to promote and fund programs that nurture and guide future community leaders, encourage and assist current community leaders, and remember and honor historic community leaders. ODPEC uses and leverages its financial resources to educate Greater Houston about its past, present and future and identify opportunities for growth and achievement.

Community Programs 2021

OCTOBER

On Saturday, October 16th, 8am-2pm, One Delta Plaza Educational Center will serve as a COVID-19 vaccination site in partnership with The City of Houston and Houston Health Department. The Health Department will administer Pfizer 1 & 2, Pfizer Booster, and Moderna 1 & 2 vaccines. Walk-ins are welcome !  Click here for appointments: https://www.hhdvaccinations.org/

NOVEMBER

Join us on Wednesday evening, November 17th for a fund-raising event at The Ensemble Theater.  Celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with this festive holiday revue. It’s the perfect blend of traditional Christmas carols paired with the soulful sounds from such Motown celebrities as Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, and The Jackson 5. A Christmas treat for the entire family !

ODPEC is dedicated to the health and safety of our entire community. As COVID-19 is an ongoing global pandemic, the safety and health strategies we are employing are beneficial to individuals both at ODPEC and while in the community at large. 

Face coverings (covering nose and mouth) are required for all individuals 10 years and older while at ODPEC. Visitors to ODPEC are expected to maintain and encourage at least 6 feet of space from people not in the same household. Individuals are expected to stay home if they have any of the new or worsening signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19 or have had known close contact with someone confirmed to have COVID-19. We have enhanced our cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety  for all.
