Ms. Chavon Carr

Attorney Chavon D. Carr is a  graduate of Spelman College earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a concentration in Business Management. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate with a certificate in Health Law, from the Saint Louis University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri.   

Ms. Carr began her legal career in Houston, Texas in 2007 as a U.S. Right of Way attorney for Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority (METRO)In 2011, Ms. Carr joined Sadler Law, LLP as an associate attorney, marking her transition to the law firm. Ms. Carr later moved to the transactional energy group of Steptoe & Johnson, PLLC, one of the countrys top energy law firms where she assisted some of the largest oil and gas companies in analyzing risks associated with joint ventures, purchase and sale agreements and other agreements related to the transaction.  

In 2015, Ms. Carr entered the entrepreneurial realm and launched Carr + Associates, where she currently serves as managing attorney. The firm focuses on estate, probate and real estate law, by assisting families in the planning and preparation of estate as well as the administration of estates of decedents.    

Civically, Ms. Carr is engaged in strengthening communities through legal knowledge. She hosts regular meetings with community members, educating individuals on probate and real estate issues. She is board member for the Houston Texans YMCA, William A. Lawson Institute for Peace and Prosperity, and president of Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church Legal Ministry.
